Funding Priorities
The College of Nursing identifies new priorities each year through strategic
planning, faculty and student discussion, and through feedback from the Dean’s
Advisory Council. The college also follows the vision of Montana State
University when setting fundraising priorities.
Current priorities include:
Scholarships – Scholarships create extraordinary opportunities
and enhance our ability to recruit retain and reward students. Scholarships
help produce world class nurses to carry on the College of Nursing’s
history of excellence.
Excellence in Education – Excellence in Education refers to
a student endowment for such things as distance delivery enhancements, student
research and student travel and development. It also includes a faculty
endowment for visiting professorships, faculty development and faculty research.
Facility Enhancements – Our growing nursing program demands
bigger and better facilities including the expansion and renovation of Sherrick
Hall, smart classrooms at all campus sites and innovative simulation technology.
