Women's Environmental Health Conference Protecting
Ourselves, Our Families, and Our Communities

Information:
Women's Voices for the Earth (WVE), is a non-profit women's
health advocacy organization founded in 1995. With offices in
Bozeman and Missoula, WVE works regionally and nationally to
eliminate and/or substantially reduce environmental toxics
impacting women's health and to increase women s involvement in
environmental decision making.
WVE is proud to be celebrating 10 years of service to the
communities in which it resides. One of the first events to kick
off the 10th anniversary celebration is the Women's Environmental
Health Conference that WVE will be hosting in Bozeman, Montana at
Montana State University on April 2, 2005. Accomplished and
notable experts will be coming from both out of state and from
within Montana to speak about women's and children's
environmental health issues such as Breast Cancer, Safe
Cosmetics, Mercury and the Developing Baby, and Safeguarding
Breastmilk.
Keynote speaker:
Dr. Gina Solomon, M.D., M.P.H.; Senior Scientist at the Natural
Resources Defense Council and Assistant Clinical Professor of
Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco.
Other speakers include:
Dr. Dana Headapohl, M.D., M.P.H.; Medical Director,
Occupational and Environmental Health Services, St. Patrick s
Hospital, Missoula, Montana
Dr. Wade Hill, Ph.D, R.N.; Assistant Professor, MSU Bozeman
College of Nursing
Dr. Colette Kirchhoff, M.D.; Family Practice Associates,
Bozeman, Montana
The event is being co-sponsored by Bridger Clinic, the Bozeman
Community Food Co-op, Montana State University Bozeman College of
Nursing, and Montana State University Women s Center.
