Jennie E. Davis Scholarship
NAME OF SCHOLARSHIP: Jennie E. Davis Scholarship
PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP:
Mrs. Page Kenck, a 98 year old (in 1993) widow with no children and the oldest
and only living of four sisters, established a scholarship fund in memory of
her sister, Jennie E. Davis, RN. A trust was established at the time of her
death and is administered by the MSU-Bozeman Foundation.
NUMBER OF AWARDS: One (annually)
VALUE: Varies based on interest accrued
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Montana High School Graduate and Resident of the state of Montana.
- Be at least sophomore standing, as defined by the College of Nursing.
- Must submit an essay regarding Your Professional Nursing Goals and
the students choice of one of the following concepts:
- A
Personal Nursing Experience
- Reasons
for Seeking a Degree in Nursing
- Philosophy
of Nursing or Health Care
- All else being equal, preference is to be given to an unmarried
student.

APPROXIMATE NOMINATION DEADLINE: Mid-December
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
It has been requested by William Stephani, personal representative of Mrs.
Kenck’s estate, that a thank you letter be sent to him by the recipient
of the scholarship. Correspondence to Mr. Stephani should be sent via first
class mail. Copies of all correspondence to the recipient and donor will be
kept in Bozeman with the central scholarship files. The Assistant Dean's Office
is responsible for processing the Scholarship Authorization Form.
