Patricia Schwarz Memorial Scholarship

NAME OF SCHOLARSHIP: Patricia Schwarz Memorial Scholarship

PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP:

The Patricia Schwarz Memorial Scholarship was established by Mr. Roger Schwarz as a memorial to his wife, Patricia, who died of cancer. She battled the illness for two years, the last six months being especially difficult. Nurses influenced her care so much that Mr. Schwarz has established a scholarship fund to assist nursing students at MSU-Bozeman who are interested in the care of cancer patients.

VALUE: Varies

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • College of Nursing upper division student
  • Interest in pursuing a career in caring for terminally ill patients
  • Submission of a one-page typed application which includes the following:
    a. Description of career and personal goals
    b. Biographical information
    c. Information about why the applicant should be considered for the award

SELECTED BY: The College of Nursing Scholarship Committee
