Margaret Wynn Memorial Scholarship

NAME OF ACCOUNT: Margaret Wynn Memorial Scholarship

PURPOSE OF ACCOUNT: To provide scholarship assistance to worthy students at enrolled at the College of Nursing Great Falls Campus

NUMBER OF AWARDS:   Two Scholarships, each in the minimum amount of $1,000, shall be awarded to Full-Time students who have or will have attained junior status at the time the scholarship is awarded.

Two Scholarships, each in a minimum amount of $1,000, shall be awarded to full-time students who have or will have attained senior status at the time the scholarship is disbursed.

Two Scholarships, each in the minimum amount of $750.00, shall be awarded to full-time enrolled graduate students.

Two scholarships, in the minimum of $250 each, to students attending the National Student Nursing Association annual convention.  Selection criteria shall be at the discretion of the College Committee designated to select the recipients of scholarships restricted to nursing students at the Great Falls Campus.

VALUE: Two Scholarships, each in the minimum amount of $1,000
             Two Scholarships, each in a minimum amount of $1,000
             Two Scholarships, each in the minimum amount of $750.00
             Two scholarships, in the minimum of $250 each

In any year income is in excess of the amount necessary to support the scholarships described, the excess shall be used to fund scholarships for less then full time undergraduate Nursing students at the Great Falls Campus, with the criteria and dollar amounts the same as that for full time students.

In any year that income from the Fund is not sufficient to fund s the scholarships in their entirety, first priority shall be given to the scholarships for undergraduate, full time students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Recipients must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at the Great Falls campus; must be current members of the Montana Student Nursing Association; must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA; must be involved in community and/or charitable activities; and must participate in a personal interview with the College Committee designated to select the recipients of scholarships restricted to nursing students at the Great Falls campus.

Scholarships shall be applied to tuition, fees and book expenses, not to room and board or other living expenses.

SELECTED BY: College of Nursing Committee designated to select the recipients of scholarships restricted to nursing students at the Great Falls Campus.

DONOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Not required.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:  The Foundation shall receive, hold, and invest assets in the Fund and addition to the Fund, if any, according to the policies on gift acceptance, investment, spending, disbursement, and fee assessment as established by the Board of Directors of the Foundation.  Contributions, and income earned on those contributions, shall be available for the proposes described herein.  At the discretion of the Foundation Board of Directors, the Fund may be commingled for investment purposes with other funds similarly held by the Foundation.
