Ag Appreciation Days Art Show Winners Named

              BOZEMAN -- Winners in the 2001 Ag Appreciation Weekend Juried Art Show range from a sculptor in Glendive to photographers in Bozeman and Libby.

            The show, sponsored by the Montana State University College of Agriculture, features art depicted many aspects of agriculture and natural resources in a variety of mediums, including photography, oil painting, water color, sketches and sculpture.

            Thirty-five submissions were judged by artists Jim Dolan of Belgrade, Mark MacLeod of Bozeman and Jill Davenport of Bozeman.

            Of those, 15 were accepted for display at MSU's Exit Gallery Oct. 29 - Nov. 9. There will be a reception at the gallery Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m. as part of MSU Ag Appreciation Weekend.

            "We want to thank all the artists for participating," said Lisa Duffey, MSU College of Agriculture special projects director and organizer of the art show. "It is a beautiful way to celebrate agriculture and to help students."
