MSU's Schultz wins performance competition

Andrew Schultz, a Montana State University music major from Kalispell, recently won the state and regional levels of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) woodwind performance competition and represented the Northwest region at the national finals in Washington D.C., March 26-28.
He also won the Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras Young Artist Competition and performed the Copland Clarinet Concerto with the Billings Symphony Orchestra.
Schultz, a junior, currently studies clarinet with Dr. Gregory Young, head of the MSU Department of Music, and intends to pursue a masters degree in clarinet performance at Indiana University after graduation from MSU.
