01/18/2002 --Bozeman - The Montana Repertory Theatre and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks present Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman" for one night only on Friday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. in the Willson Auditorium. All proceeds from the performance will benefit the outreach programs of the Montana Repertory and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks.

Considered by many to be the greatest American play ever written, "Death of a Salesman" compassionately explores the hollowness and treachery of the illusive American dream of success. As traveling salesman Willy Loman faces the twilight of his career, he is confronted with his failures, both professional and personal, and the results are devastating.

Established in 1977, the Montana Repertory Theatre has become one of the most respected professional touring companies in the country today. Recent productions have included the highly acclaimed "To Kill a Mockingbird," "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Diary of Ann Frank." With "Death of a Salesman" directed by artistic director Greg Johnson, the Montana Repertory Theatre continues its mission of telling the great stories of our nation, stories that reflect and reveal the core of the American experience, and go to the heart of the American character.
