Community forum on drinking and driving set Oct. 11

10/04/01 Bozeman - Montana Secretary of State Bob Brown is just one of a group of state and local experts from a wide range of disciplines that will participate in a community forum and panel discussion on drinking and driving set 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 in the Community Room of the County Courthouse, 311 West Main in Bozeman .The Community Room is located on the third floor.

Forum panelists will include:            Bob Brown, Montana Secretary of State; Steve Kirchhoff, Bozeman Mayor-elect; Dana Morgan, mother of Kelly Morgan, who was killed in an accident involving alcohol at the Bozeman High School Homecoming a year ago; Mike Hope of the Gallatin Valley Beverage Association; Todd Whipple, deputy County Attorney; Linda Hill, Gallatin Valley M.A.D.D; Jami Brogan, MSU Cat Cab Committee.

The panelists will address such questions as:  The extent of drinking and driving in our community; solutions to the problem; whether the problem is best addressed on an individual level or through the shared responsibility of the community.
