Inauguration of MSU's President Geoff Gamble is set Oct. 10

 Bozeman --- A celebration is planned Oct. 10 on the MSU campus for the inauguration of Geoffrey Gamble as the eleventh president of Montana State University.

            Festivities begin Oct. 9 with a reception for students set at 2 p.m. on Centennial Mall hosted by Geoff and Patricia Gamble.

            An inauguration/convocation service is set for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 10  in the Strand Union Ballroom on the MSU campus. A public reception will follow.

            A no-host dinner honoring Gamble will be held later in the day, also in the SUB ballrooms. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Dinner entertainment will be provided by a cavalcade of performers from the MSU community. The inaugural dinner is also open to the public and tickets will be made available at a cost of $40.

            University officials planning the event hope to make it a community-wide celebration and the public is encouraged to attend any or all events connected to the inauguration.

            More details about Gamble's inauguration will be announced in coming weeks.
