WWAMI hosts conference on medical aspects of Lewis and Clark Expedition

10/04/01 Bozeman --- Gary Moulton, professor of history at the University of Nebraska and editor of the definitive edition of the Journals of Lewis and Clark, will be one of the speakers at the WWAMI Medical Education Program day long conference on the medical aspects of the Lewis and Clark expedition to be held Oct. 24 at Montana State University.

There will also be a demonstration of a medical kit similar to the one used on the expedition.

The program is free and open to the public. There are limited spaces available, and pre-registration is required.

WWAMI is a regional partnership involving Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Montana's WWAMI students take their first year of courses at Montana State University-Bozeman and then join their classmates at the University of Washington School of Medicine for subsequent years of medical school.
