From the 1998-99 4-H Clover Project Selection Guide
Thanks to a new 4-H enrichment curriculum called Teens in Tourism (TNT for short), teens in Valley County (and soon around Montana) can learn how tourism, Montana's second-largest industry, impacts their home communities.
This year, 180 Glasgow High School ninth- and tenth-graders participated in the program, which gives students an awareness of hospitality and the impacts of tourism, plus insights into employment opportunities in tourism and other fields. Students who finish the TNT course receive a certificate awarding their success.
TNT was first piloted in Gallatin County by 4-H curriculum specialist Mike Cavey and later revised by Valley County MSU Extension agent Debbie Donovan. Other partners are the TravelMontana SuperHost program, Flathead Valley Community College and local chambers of commerce.
For more information, call Debbie at (406) 228-8221.
