Advising Goals

Provide accurate, timely advising to undergraduate majors by faculty familiar with their chosen major and career goals.

Advising Policy

New faculty members are assigned freshman students, so they will maintain an advising relationship through the student's academic years. Experienced faculty members are assigned transfer student and other students to balance the advising load. all assignments are made by the student records secretary in the Biology Department. Students who ask to be advised by a particular faculty member are assigned to that faculty member whenever possible.

Recent Changes and Future Plans

To Improve Quality of Advising
No. This question assumes that our advising needs improvement, an assumption for which there is no data. We cannot improve our advising until we find out where and if there are problems. The advising questionnaire should provide some of the information needed!

To Improve Accessibility of Advisors
We do not have enough information to make changes!
