Advising Goals

To insure that students graduate in a timely manner, that they receive the best advise concerning professional careers in law, public service, public interest, and private sector jobs, and that they take the appropriate electives relevant to those career goals.

Advising Policy

We try to make sure that each faculty member has about the same number of advisees. We honor student requests for having a particular faculty member as advisor. Advising is required during preregistration periods and we encourage students to see their advisors before the preregistration period.

Recent Changes and Future Plans

To Improve Quality of Advising
The question presupposes that there is a problem with advising in this department.

To Improve Accessibility of Advisors
The department has not received complaints regarding the accessibility of advisors except infrequently.
