MSU alumnus, Michael Brown, of Sweetgrass Productions is presenting a ski film, Solitaire next Tuesday Oct., 11, 2011 at 8:00 pm at the Emerson Cultural Center in Bozeman, MT. Michael graduated with a double major in Film and Photography in 2008. He is becoming highly regarded in the ski/snowboard industry, and is sponsored by Patagonia, Cliff Bar, and Osprey backpacks. Solitaire won 'Best Cinematography' at the International Freeski Film Festival, and was dubbed 'the most cinematic ski film ever made' by the Denver Post. Michael will be presenting the film along with his partners from Sweetgrass Productions. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Online tickets are available.
Devolution Films and the MSU School of Film and Photography will present Mi Chacra (My Land), the feature length documentary debut of MSU alumnus Jason Burlage, at the Procrastinator Theater in the Strand Union Building on the campus of Montana State University on October 22, 2011 at 6:30 pm. Burlage will be in attendance and will answer questions after the screening.
Mi Chacra world premiered at the Starz Denver Film Festival in November of 2009, and has gone on to screen at festivals around the world, including the prestigious Margaret Mead Film Festival at the Museum of Natural History in New York City, and South America’s top documentary festival It’s All True in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The film has won several awards, including the Grand Prize at the 2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival.

Andrew Seeman makes commericials KULR-8 TV in Billings. He has won 3 bronze Addy's from the Montana Ad Council and also an E.B. Craney award for Television Copywriter of the Year from the Montana Broadcasters Association. He is also making music videos for local artist Killa C. Congratulations Andrew!
