at Montana State University

Application Guidelines
Show guidelines:
1. Submitted pieces may include but are not limited to: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Prints/Graphics, Jewelry, Photography, Ceramics, and Films.
2. Artists may submit up to 20 pieces. However, Upheaval reserves the right to limit the number of participants and pieces due to space and availability. Current students have priority in any selection process.
3. All pieces must be handmade, and the original creation of Artist.
4. All pieces must be display- and sale-ready, priced, and delivered to SUB Ballroom “D” on Monday, April 7, 2008 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. (If you need to drop your pieces off earlier than the specified date, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 994-3591.)
Please provide any special display instructions when submitting artwork.
5. Each piece must be shown on the “List of Artwork” to be submitted with the application.
6. Please be sure each piece you submit is display-ready and priced. We will not accept pieces marked “NFS” (Not For Sale).
6. All unsold pieces must be picked up immediately upon the conclusion of the show & sale. If not retrieved within one week of show closure, all pieces become property of the MSU Office of Student Activities.
7. Artists will be asked to attend the closing reception on the last night of the show, Thursday, April 10, 2008, beginning at 5pm, after which remaining pieces will be retrieved by Artist.
8. Checks for pieces sold will be available on Monday, April 28, 2008 at the Office of Student Activities, 282 SUB. The “List of Artwork” will be used to settle the amount owed the Artist, so it is important that this form be accurate when submitted with the application.
9. A non-refundable application of $5.00 for current students and $15.00 for MSU alumni is due with the completed application. (Checks made payable to Upheaval.) There will be a 15% commission taken per item sold. As this is a non-profit art sale, all commission monies will be dedicated to paying for show-related expenses (advertising, reception, etc).
