UFS Sustainability
University Food Services has taken an active roll in moving towards sustainability, do to the large demand by the student customers.

Towne’s Harvest Garden and Friends of Local Foods
Friends of Local Foods was formed in the fall of 2006 to bring concerned students, faculty, and community members together to raise awareness, create academic opportunities and conduct research related to local food systems and food quality.  Out of this effort, with the support of several members of the MSU community, grew the Towne's Harvest Garden project, a 3 acre diversified vegetable farm.

NECO
The Network of Environmentally Conscious Organizations is a student run group made up of members from a variety of other organizations at MSU that focus on the sustainability of our environment.

Sustainable Foods & Bioenergy Systems Degree Program at MSU
The Sustainable Food and Bioenergy Systems (SFBS) interdisciplinary degree program promotes sustainable production, distribution and consumption of food and bioenergy by growing a new generation of leaders through collaborative learning and hands-on experience.
