| University Honors Program Application |
| Honors classes rarely exceed fifteen students, are more challenging in scope, and are taught by the top faculty from across the university. Honors sections of chemistry, economics, English, mathematics, and physics as well as other Honors classes satisfy university curriculum requirements, thus taking extra credits to graduate in the major and in Honors is usually unnecessary. Honors courses have restricted entry for Honors students. There are also opportunities for individual research and creative projects for Honors credits as well as internships that provide the students with imaginative and rigorous opportunities to learn to think for themselves. In addition, there are outdoor activities, dinners, prestigious guest speakers, Honors student activities, community service projects, and great expedition courses at home and abroad. Individualized advising is provided for the Honors curriculum and scholarship and graduate school applicants. A special graduation ceremony is held for Honors graduates, who then wear gold medallions at the main Montana State University Commencement. Honors graduates have an outstanding record of success for getting admitted to the nation's best graduate, law, and medical schools. The application for the University Honors Program may be sent in at any time. |
