    PROJECT WET CURRICULUM AND ACTIVITY GUIDE 

    Funded by the Bureau of Reclamation and co-published by The Watercourse and the Council for Environmental Education (CEE), 1995. 517 pages. Over 90 activities cover seven major topics: 

      1) Water has unique physical and chemical characteristics. 
      2.) Water is essential for all life to exist. 
      3) Water connects all Earth systems. 
      4) Water is a natural resource. 
      5) Water resources are managed. 
      6) Water resources exist within social and economic settings. 
      7) Water resources exist within historical and social contexts. 

    The Guide is available through training workshops provided by state Project WET coordinators. 

    THE WATER STORY  

    Published in cooperation with Falcon Magazine for Kids, Phillips Petroleum Company, National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), National Wetlands Conservation Alliance and Project WET, 16 pages. This supplement is designed for upper elementary and middle school students. In telling the story of water, this publication provides young readers with a variety of creative, hands-on activities, projects, games, a poster and valuable information about water. Distinguished Achievement in Educational Publishing, EdPress Award Winner. Cost $25.00 for 30 copies. 

    WATER, A GIFT OF NATURE  

    Produced in cooperation with KC Publications, 1993, 48 pages. See the many faces of water: clouds, rain, hail, snow, icebergs, geysers, rainbows, and waterfalls. Meet animals and plants that depend on water: from wetlands beavers to the desert chuckwalla, from a coral reef to a saguaro cactus. The publication is grounded in the social and natural sciences and provides interpretive text and over 90 full-color photographs that illustrate subjects found in the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide. Cost $7.95.
