Professional Council survey of MAP supervisors, spring 2005

Recent tentative MPEA bargaining agreements outline significant changes to various components of the MAP Program. Voting on ratification of the agreement is expected to take place during March, 2005.

MAP Survey, December 2003
- view the data and progress of the outcomes -

In November, 2003 the Board of Regents asked CEPAC representatives from Bozeman, Billings, and Missoula about their perception of staff opinion of MAP. This committee undertook to canvass the Bozeman campus in order to better answer the Regents' questions, and to further CEPAC's pre-existing goal for 2003/04: to further understand MAP and all that it entails, to facilitate communication between everyone involved in the Program (staff, supervisors, administrators, President Gamble and the Board of Regents) and to help bring about improvement in the procedure and rewards.

A survey was consequently administered, on-line, between December 12 and 31, 2003. MSU-Bozeman classified staff were invited to participate via an email announcement on the MSU classified listserv. There were 827 addresses on the listserv, not all of whom are necessarily covered by MAP. Personnel and Payroll Services estimate 800 classified staff at MSU-Bozeman are active in MAP, excluding new staff not yet participating as of December, 2003. The survey consisted of various questions requiring "yes/no" answers, or a numerical "ranking", plus seven areas where comment was solicited.

CEPAC's aim is to keep the campus community informed of the outcome of the survey as the process progresses (eg after further discussion, and as reports are submitted to President Gamble, the Board of Regents). This page will be updated upon preparation of any new documentation, thus building on the information made available on-line. Please re-visit this site regularly in order to be kept up to date.
