Winter, A Time of Peace Cody Shambo
Winter is a time of peace,
it is a gentle flow of love.
It is like a nice mother's tears
or her lovely silky hair.
Wolf Darwin Doney
Once there was a wolf who said he could sing better
than any animal, including coyote. One day the wolf
went to coyote and said, "I can sing better than you
can". Coyote challenged wolf to a contest and they
decided that whoever could sing the loudest would win.
Wolf won the contest.
Next, wolf went to bear and challenged him to a singing
contest. Again wolf won. Soon wolf challenged rooster.
It was a tie, so wolf sings to bring up the moon and
rooster sings to bring up the sun.
Why Rabbit Has Long Feet Samantha White
One day the rabbit was making fun of the bear
because he couldn't hide well. The next morning
rabbit woke up and he was thirsty. He went down
to the pond and when he got there he saw a frog.
The rabbit started to tease the frog. The next day
the Grand Father came down and told the rabbit
not to put down the other animals. When rabbit
woke up, he had big long feet.
