Vice President of Agriculture Candidate Open Forum: Dr. Jay Noller

Five finalists from regional universities will interview for MSU’s vice president of agriculture position from Oct. 22 – Oct. 30.
At Oregon State University, Noller oversees the state seed laboratory, state seed certification service, state soil and plant laboratory, and the center for small farms and community food systems. He leads several commodity enterprises, involving many agricultural commissions and dozens of faculty across Oregon in addition to handling intellectual property management and marketing of wheat, barley, potatoes, and other crops. He is the OSU lead research scientist for Oregon’s agricultural hemp industry. Noller received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California State University in geology and received a doctorate of geology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
An open reception for Noller will be held from 5 – 6 p.m. in room 108 of the Plant Biosciences Building.
The interviews will be held on Oct. 22 – Oct. 30 on campus. As part of that visit to campus, each finalist will hold an open forum with faculty and staff, in addition to an open reception of the day of their visit. The finalists' CVs can be found at:
