Taking their name from a mythical phoenix-like songbird in Filipino folklore, The Adarna [pronounced uh-darr-nuh] are the first band to ever coin their genre as "Jet City Rock (Jet Rock)." The Adarna created a breed of rock n roll born out of the notion of society being over-saturated by technology. They call this genre "Jet City Rock." The Adarna's live performance is an interactive experience containing music, art, and drama. It's a wasted future motif; technology drowning the human experience of connecting with one another.
Connect and inspire. These are the words that drive the band to create this style of interactive music and keep an unsigned band touring the West Coast and regionally on a regular basis. The Adarna released a fan-funded album that is airing on over 160 college radio stations in addition to Sirius XM, Armed Forces Radio, and music videos that are being aired in 78 countries to 10 million households. In 2014, they will be performing at colleges, community centers, conventions and opening up to Midwest and East Coast tour dates.
Since 2012, The Adarna's music has contained themes that everybody can get behind: "inner-strength and self-acceptance."
What's an Adarna show like? Big hooks. High energy. Interactive. Modern rock that you are a part of!
