The Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship (JJCBE) is pleased to announce that the award-winning interactive digital agency R/GA is returning to the MSU campus and this time will be joined by Google’s Brand Studio.
They will be presenting "Anticipating the Wave of the Future: How R/GA & Google Approach Innovation" on Thursday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. in Jabs Hall room 111.
During the talk, the teams will discuss how changes in technology and shifts in design requirements have required their teams to continue to evolve and learn new skills. They will also share examples of how interfaces, technology and design are being merged together to create tomorrow’s digital experiences. Students and professionals in the areas of computer science, engineering, film, marketing and design are especially encouraged to attend.
R/GA develops products, services and communications that are designed to transform brands. Founded in 1977 as a motion graphics firm and reinvented by 1995 as an interactive digital agency, the agency has been at the intersection of technology, design and marketing, with its work spanning web, mobile, social, retail and e-commerce, product innovation, brand development and business consulting platforms. R/GA has more than 1,400 employees globally with offices across the United States, Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific. It regularly works with Fortune 500 companies, helping those companies navigate how consumers interact with brands in the digital world across a variety of devices, screens and experiences.
R/GA’s honors include a technical Academy Award, as well as being named the “Digital Agency of the Decade” by Adweek and, in 2015, Agency of the Year by Advertising Age. Adweek also called R/GA’s Nike work the "Campaign of the Decade," and it named R/GA the “Digital Agency of the Year” more than six times, including in 2014.
Google’s Brand Studio team is a group of creative thinkers tasked with shaping the future of Google brands by deepening the affection of Google’s users. The group works to understand how users behave, how they perceive and interact with Google’s brands and products, the impact of media communications and messages, and the cultural and social influences that shape users’ view of the world.
