In fall 2015, the Belgrade Community Library was named the “Best Small Library in America.” The prestigious annual award, cosponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, reflects the Belgrade Library's extraordinary success in serving the people of Belgrade and the surrounding area. To continue to meet community needs, the Belgrade Community Library needs more space, especially for expanded community programming. Dr. Tom McNab and students from the MSU Community Design Center at the MSU School of Architecture are collaborating with library staff and Belgrade citizens to envision, research and design a new Belgrade Community Library. This project is but one example of the Center's impressive contributions to nonprofit organizations and agencies in Montana and beyond. Other recent projects include collaborative design work with Yellowstone National Park and the Alex Lowe Foundation's Khumba Climbing School in Nepal.
This program is free to Wonderlust and Alumni Association members and their guests and will be open to Parent and Family members of MSU students for Parent/Family weekend.
