Network of MSU Researchers Collaborating with Indigenous Communities or Populations
- Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 2:00pm to 3:15pm
- Strand Union Building, 233 - view map
This is the kickoff of monthly networking/learning community meetings for faculty & staff engaged off-campus with Indigenous communities to conduct research and/or provide service program support. This group will liaison with the Council on American Indian Programs but CAIP leaders/sponsors have confirmed the proposed meetings do not overlap with their mission which focused on American Indian student success. MSU increasingly is a leader in partnership work with Indigenous communities. We believe it will help all of our work if we know more about what each other is doing and have the opportunity to share best practices. Indigenous partners appreciate when different faculty and staff at the university are aware of each other’s projects, and where appropriate, are collaborating with each other, to reduce the burden and increase coordination and benefits for their communities.
