Seeking Surge Mentors for 2018-2019 academic year
The Sophomore Surge is currently seeking Surge Mentors for the 2018-2019 academic year. Surge Mentors are MSU students in their 2nd year or higher who will be trained, supported, and empowered to shape the futures of the next incoming Freshman class throughout their first year of college in order to Surge students into their sophomore year.
Beginning in Fall 2018, Surge Mentors will partner with all sections of CLS 101 or US 101 first year seminars, both 3-credit University Seminar (US) Core courses required of incoming Freshmen. Mentors will attend all class meetings of the University Seminar course for the entire semester and serve as Surge Mentor for that group of students as well as engage those students in out-of-class activities and events.

Join us in celebrating the Surge, congratulating graduating Surge Mentors, and welcoming new Surge Mentors at the end of year Sophomore Surge celebration on Tuesday, April 24th, from 5:00-7:00 pm in SUB Ballroom B. Please RSVP.
