In our increasingly data-infused society, with the terms “big data,” “data analytics” and “data science” becoming ubiquitous, data literacy is an essential skill for an informed citizenry. Stacey Hancock will discuss what it means to be a data literate society; what it takes to prepare citizens and learners to understand and use data; and what a data science curriculum, interdisciplinary by its very nature, can look like.
