Interested in learning more about LGBTQ issues and becoming part of an ally network for LGBTQ students at MSU? The Safe Zone program offers trainings each semester to help educate our community and promote an inclusive campus environment. Safe Zone is a program that appears on campuses across the nation to build awareness and support of LGBTQIQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and questioning) individuals. These workshops educate and raise awareness about LGBTQIQ issues and provide training, resources and strategies for being an ally.
In order to participate in the Module 3 workshop on Individual Heterosexism, you must first have completed Module 1. The goal of the Module 3 workshop is to encourage attendees to look critically at their own personal biases as well as existing systems that perpetuate heterosexism, with a goal of decreasing individual and institutional heterosexism.
This workshop is free and open to members of the MSU community. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend. Register today at http://www.montana.edu/safezone/upcoming_workshops.html.
