Human Connection: Language & Technology

To kick off our celebration of National Day on Writing, please join us for a multidisciplinary conversation about language, our desire to connect with one another, and technologies that connect us and disconnect us.
We’ll begin with a reception at 4 p.m. and panel presentation from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Panel members include:
Louisa Hall, MSU Department of English Writer-in-Residence and author of the novel Speak and the forthcoming novel Trinity.
Dr. John Paxton, director of the MSU Gianforte School of Computing with a research specialty in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Dr. David Millman, MSU Gianforte School of Computing assistant professor, faculty fellow, and a recipient of an MSU Writing Center Writing Across MSU (WAMSU) Integrating Writing into STEM Teaching grant.
Dr. Michael Reidy, MSU Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies professor specializing in the history of science and technology.
