Made possible through a grant from the German Embassy in conjunction with Modern Languages and the College of Engineering, MSU German will host "German Week". The topic of the week is Sustainability both at MSU and abroad. Our German Week will draw attention to Germany's shift to renewable energy sources while also highlighting sustainability research and development on campus. The week will include an interdisciplinary student poster session, a visit from the DAAD with materials on studying/working abroad in Germany, a documentary film screening about Frei Otto's treehouse in Berlin, a slideshow of a passive house in Germany built by one of our Direct Exchange Study Abroad Partners, and an expert panel including Dr. Kevin Amende, Dr. Cecily Ryan, Dr. Vaughan Judge, and Mr. Anton Hufnagl from the German Federal Ministry, Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety. The panel will include opening statements from the Dean of Engineering, Dr. Brett Gunnink.
