- Strand Union Building, SUB 212 - view map
Wool Working Women, curated by Alayna Rasile, is a show about weaving and violence - it takes ancient stories and craft methods and applies them to digital culture in order to visualize both the dangers of being female and the power of the #metoo movement. Through laborious handwork on the loom, these works have been coded and pixilated using traditional weaving techniques to create textiles that speak for women who have been silenced.
The reception will be held at 5:00-6:30PM on Thursday, November 29th. There will be dance performances on November 29th from 5:00-5:30PM and December 3rd at 12:30PM.
The Exit Gallery is open from 10am-6pm Monday through Friday.
