The MEERC is kicking off its 2019 speaker series with a lunchtime talk by Charles (Chuck) Glasser from Springer Nature Publishing. Have you ever wanted to publish a textbook? How about a research monograph? What about your PhD dissertation, did you know that can be published too? Chuck Glaser, Editorial Director for Applied Sciences at Springer Nature Publishing will be at MSU to talk about the process and what is new at Springer. Springer Nature is now one of the world's largest scientific publishers. Chuck will discuss what Springer does in scientific publishing and dissemination of knowledge through the publication process. He will also discuss the Springer model of publishing for university professors and even publishing with Springer at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This talk will cover the Print vs e-Publishing trade-off and steps to become a successful book author. This talk is hosted by the Montana Engineering Education Research Center (MEERC). Lunch will be served starting at 11:45am and the talk will begin at 12:00pm. We’ll start with a few minutes of MEERC updates and then turn it over to Chuck. Chuck will also be available for 1-on-1 appointments after the seminar. You can contact Brock LaMeres (email@example.com ) if you want to setup a meeting with Chuck.
