As part of the Institute on Ecosystems' Rough Cut Science seminar series, Dr. Robert Klinger will give a talk titled "Mammal Metacommunities and the Maintenance of Meadows in the High-Elevation Zone of the Sierra Nevada" on Wednesday, April 24 at noon in Barnard Hall 126.
Dr. Rob Klinger is a population and community ecologist with the USGS Western Ecological Research Center. He has a wide variety of interests and projects but is particularly fond of plant-animal interactions, especially how they are modified by climatic variability and, in turn, modify potential climate-driven effects. Rob has examined these interactions (and others) in the upper sub-alpine and alpine zone of the Sierra Nevada mountains, lowland tropical forests in Central America, the Mojave Desert, and several island systems.
