Dr. Garth James is an associate research professor in MSU's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. He is also the lead PI of the CBE Medical Biofilms Laboratory. Garth’s lab has done research for NIH-funded grants, in addition to biofilm research and testing projects for many companies. His seminar “Influence of breast implant textures on bacterial attachment and biofilm formation,” will focus on a testing project the lab has been doing to investigate surface properties of breast implants and their role in preventing biofilm growth and attachment.
