- Strand Union Building, Ballroom B - view map
This year's Take Back the Night art display focuses on an significant issue in Montana: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Indigenous women are 10 times more likely to be murdered compared to the national average, and they are 3 times more likely to experience sexual violence. The MMIWG art display will raise awareness about this important issue, inform people about how they can get involved, and provide opportunities for action. This event will feature MMIWG-themed artwork, stories from MMIWG survivors, and stations for making signs for the Take Back the Night March and writing postcards to goverment representatives. The event is free and everyone is welcome.
