Engineering Senior Design Fair
- Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm
- Norm Asbjornson Hall - view map
Montana State University engineering students will showcase their senior projects on Thursday, April 25, from noon to 5 p.m. in Norm Asbjornson Hall on the MSU campus. The all-ages event is free and open to the public.
Dozens of student teams will demonstrate and display a variety of creations, including solar-powered car parts, a bearproof composter, a process for converting carbon dioxide into useful chemicals, and more.
The biannual Design Fair is a chance for MSU students and members of the public to see the final products of the capstone projects that all seniors in MSU’s Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering complete as a requirement to earning their degrees. Working in teams and advised by MSU faculty — and sometimes sponsors from private industry — the students find solutions to engineering problems.
This spring marks the first time that MSU students in the civil engineering department will present their projects at the Design Fair. Other students presenting at the event are earning their undergraduate degrees in mechanical, industrial, chemical, electrical and computer engineering.
