Student Organization Leadership Conference Makeup Session

The Student Organization Leadership Conference was created for student leaders of Registered Student Organizations at MSU to provide student leaders, new and experienced alike, with the tools and knowledge to successfully lead their organizations and utilize the available resources provided on campus. If you were unable to attend this event, you will need to send a representative of your organization to a make up session in order to be eligible for funding.
This is the makeup session available for the 2019 Fall semester, more will follow in Spring 2020.

The 4 R's of Retention
Presenters: MSU Leadership Institute
Session Description: This session will focus on increasing retention of club members through the 4 "R's" of club leadership: give members Responsibility, give out Rewards and Recognition, assign members a Role model, and help build Relationships. After a brainstorming session, club leaders will make a plan for using the 4 R's in their own club.
About the Leadership Institute: The MSU Leadership Institute inspires students to become leaders who serve as catalysts for positive change. Leading the session are Nathaniel Camaret and Hannah Monaghan.Nathaniel:Although born in San Juan, Puerto Rico where much of Nathaniel's family resides, he grew up in Helena, MT and is currently a fifth-year premedical students studying Cell Biology and Neuroscience. Nathaniel has held many leadership roles on campus, including leadership roles in Air Force ROTC, serving on nonprofit boards, being a student ambassador for the College of Letters and Science, and demonstrating servant-leadership through his passion for teaching. He claims that much of his college career has been grounded in a quote by T.S. Eliot, "If you aren't in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?"Hannah:Hannah is a Senior in the Microbiology Environmental Health Program with a minor in Global Health. She has been with the Leadership Institute since last August, and notably organized the Captain Scott Kelly lecture in April. When she isn't doing homework or working, she is spending time in mountains, cooking, or reading Game of Thrones for yet another time.
