Basic Needs Assistant
Job Description: Support efforts related to student food security, housing, and public assistance programming. Basic Needs Assistants will be responsible for operating our campus food pantry front desk while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and uplifting environment for visitors.
Required Qualifications:
- CPR/AED certification (or signed up for a course within first week of hire)
- Desire to help students acquire resources with basic needs
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Maintain a current, valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming and uplifting experience for all students engaging with the Basic Needs Program
- Clean, stock, and organize the campus food pantry
- Answer the Basic Needs phone and email
- Operate our food rescue truck, picking up and distributing food in town

Club Sport Assistant
Job summary:
Club Sports Assistants will learn how to organize, plan, and execute games and events for club sports teams. Assistants should have a desire to learn about the Club Sports program to create a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons and participants.

Rental Shop Assistants will be trained to provide basic education on all aspects of the gear that we rent, including assisting customers with simple bike and ski repairs and maintenance. Job summary:
The Climbing Wall Instructor helps users in the climbing wall area and assists with setting routes, teaching daily belay classes and assessments and ensuring that responsible climbing practices are being followed throughout the space. The Climbing Wall Instructor will also assist students with answering questions about all of the program’s offerings and help connect interested students with educational or community-building opportunities including outdoor rock or ice climbing.
Required Qualifications:

- Climbing Wall Instructor Course Completion (provided as part of training)
- Ability to attend mandatory trainings
- Ability to work at least 4-6 hours per week

Phlebotomist

Phlebotomists perform a variety of duties to help Clinical Laboratory Scientists and other medical professionals at University Health Partners Medical Services.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies laboratory test requests and patient identification via electronic health record systems and laboratory information systems
- Obtains blood specimens by performing venipuncture procedures
- May monitor glucose levels by performing point-of-care capillary blood collection
- Collects correct specimens for requested laboratory testing to include throat and nasopharyngeal specimens
- Instructs patients how to properly collect samples such as clean catch urine or self-collected GC/Chlamydia swabs
- Performs COVID specimen collections
- Performs waived laboratory testing as needed
