MSU wins the Big Sky Conference tournament

The Bobcats advance to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in school history, the third under Binford. The team learns its post-season fate on Sunday at 6 pm in Worthington Arena. Bobcat fans are invited to attend.

MSU to host American Indian Council Powwow on March 28-29

The 49th annual American Indian Council Powwow at Montana State will be held March 28-29 at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. The event is free and open to the public.

Montana State alumnus and oil company executive to discuss career paths in business on March 26

Mitch Thompson, Montana State University alumnus and co-founder and chief financial officer of Iron Oil, will present "My Journey from Jabs to the C-Suite" for the spring 2025 Orser Executive Speakers Forum. The event is free and open to the public.

Montana State alumna and acclaimed artist Wendy Red Star to receive honorary doctorate May 9

MSU alumna Wendy Red Star, an Apsaalooke artist who grew up on the Crow Reservation in south-central Montana, will receive an honorary doctorate from Montana State University at its spring commencement ceremony on Friday, May 9.

Registration is open for Montana State’s Peaks and Potentials summer camp

The camp allows high-potential students entering fifth through seventh grades to explore topics ranging from filmmaking and American Sign Language to microscope biology and wilderness skills.

Montana State to award honorary doctorate to Morton H. Meyerson at spring commencement

At MSU's commencement ceremony on Friday, May 9, Meyerson will be recognized for his longtime support of the land-grant mission at MSU with an honorary doctorate from the university.

Montana PBS hosts 20th anniversary screening of basketball documentary

Montana PBS will host a free screening of "Class C: The Only Game in Town" at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at The Ellen Theatre to celebrate the documentary's 20th anniversary. 

Montana State student volunteers help Alaskan Native communities with tax returns

Lily Alexander, Mariah Ketterling and Nicholas Caiazzo, graduate students in the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, are all working toward their master's degrees in professional accounting. The trio returned in mid-February from a nine-day trip to Alaska, where they put their knowledge to use by helping individuals in Native communities prepare tax returns.  

Registration open for May 13 annual MSU Women's Leadership Conference

An annual conference focused on professional development and networking opportunities for women is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, at Montana State. The MSU Women's Leadership Conference, hosted by the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Strand Union Building ballrooms.
