The Diversity and Inclusion Student Commons invites students, staff, and faculty interested in expanding their exposure to critical theory, with particular emphasis placed on queer theory, to participate in DisQourse, a queer intersectional reading group.  DisQourse is designed to build community through critical analysis and group discussion of feminist, queer, crip, and critical race theory texts.  It is a purposive space geared toward investigating the intersection of queerness, gender identity, racialized subjectivity, disability, class, and all other intersections of identity. DisQourse offers a forum for the exploration of connections, attachments, and solidarities that may as yet have been unexplored by participants.

To express interest, please register below.

Meetings will take place bi-weekly beginning Thursday, February 8 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in Jabs 305.  Interested participants are encouraged to attend this first meeting to contribute to developing a schedule of readings for the following five meetings.
