The Sophomore Surge is recruiting Surge Mentors for 2019-2020. Surge Mentors are MSU students in their 2nd year or higher who will be trained, supported, and empowered to shape the futures of the next incoming Freshman class throughout their first year of college in order to Surge students into their sophomore year.
Surge Mentors fulfill their role by serving as a mentor to first-year students in a section of CLS 101- Knowledge and Community or US 101- First Year Seminar, and will actively engage their mentees in the 101 curriculum and activities in order to help freshmen succeed in and outside of the classroom.
