The Sophomore Surge is recruiting Surge Mentors for 2019-2020. Surge Mentors are MSU students in their 2nd year or higher who will be trained, supported, and empowered to shape the futures of the next incoming freshman class throughout their first year of college in order to Surge students into their sophomore year.
Surge Mentors fulfill their role by serving as a mentor to first-year students in a section of BGEN 104US, CLS 101US, or US 101US; University Seminar Core courses required for incoming students. Mentors will actively engage their mentees in the University Seminar curriculum and in out-of-class activities and events.
