MSU's Office of Diversity & Inclusion, in conjunction with the Department of Native American Studies and other key partners, invites all faculty, staff, and students to a series of sessions focused on embedding inclusive practices, Indigenous knowledge, and cultural understandings into their work with students to foster inclusive learning environments.


11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Luncheon and Opening Remarks

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm:  Workshop #1-Foundations for Practice: Applying Indigenous Essential Understandings

2:15 pm. - 4:15 pm: Workshop #2-Effective Mentoring for Indigenous Student Wellbeing

4:15 pm - 5:00 pm: Reception

5:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Berger Lecture by Loren BirdRattler


These events are free and open to the public. Lunch and refreshments will be served.  Meals will feature Indigenous foods thoughtfully provided by University Catering. 

In collaboration with the Center for Faculty Excellence, participants can earn 2 CFE credits for each workshop they attend.
