This workshop reviews the concepts of heterosexism, transnegativity, implicit bias, and microaggressions as it relates to sexual orientation and gender identity. Participants will then have the opportunity to explore and identify areas of personal bias and microaggression with the aim of being able to mitigate these better through greater self-awareness. Participants will also have the opportunity to identify action items to implement after the workshop to counter heterosexism and transnegativity.
