Montana State University is partnering with One Valley Community Foundation to bring you A Seat at the Table, a community-wide event that encourages all to engage in conversations related to housing solutions in the Gallatin Valley.

From One Valley Community Foundation:

A Seat at the Table brings together people from all walks of life to share their ideas and to explore
solutions based on the experiences of the people affected by housing issues every day. Communities
throughout Gallatin County face challenges that include growing housing costs, a lack of housing
options and an expanding gap between growing housing prices and slower wage growth.

During the A Seat at the Table event, you will get the chance to connect with neighbors, friends or
strangers and to share your story and inspire action, together. After A Seat at the Table conversations
wrap up, we will share what was discussed at your table with city and county leaders to amplify your

Anyone can host a conversation during A Seat at the Table, and all are invited to participate. While
housing affects each one of us, the solutions are not simple. Diverse views are important to create,
fund, and achieve powerful solutions. To make sure that everyone’s voice is heard, conversations will
be held all over Gallatin County, either virtually or in person at schools, places of worship, homes,
business settings, and more.
