The focus of the FCS program is to improve individual and family behaviors, and community well-being. Agents offer programs aimed at  providing education and resources relating to food  and nutrition, health and wellness, and a wide range of family issues such as changing family structures, inter-generational relations; human response to stress and crisis; family laws, finance and economics; and decision-making.

Holiday Quick Breads

Learn how to make, bake, and freeze quick breads. These easy and versatile breads can be prepared and preserved with minimal time and effort, plus they make great gifts!

This class is a Laurel Public Schools Community Education program and will be taught by Yellowstone County MSU Extension Agent, Sara Fluer, at Laurel High School on December 14 from 6 - 8 pm. Fee $35, space is limited.

ServSafe Food Manager

ServSafe is a course administered by the National Restaurant Association and is designed for local food service managers/owners, or those in a supervisory role at a food establishment.  Topics covered in this training include personal hygiene, cross-contamination, time and temperature, and cleaning and sanitizing.  Participants will be take the ServSafe exam as part of course completion.

StrongPeople

StrongPeople is an evidence-based strength training program designed for older adults who want to stay strong, fit, and healthy. Each class progresses through a series of 8-10 exercises focused on resistance training, balance, and flexibility.
