Jerome Feldman M.A. has been over 30 years of experience as a classroom educator, professional developer and author in the field of post-secondary education. He is currently a member of the MSU community as a writing instructor.  Prior to coming to Bozeman with his family, he hailed from Los Angeles, where he taught at several universities, 2-year colleges and community adult school programs. He is the author of the professional development text The Science of Learning and the Art of Teaching and its companion field guide published by Cengage Learning.

In addition, he has written monographs on learning theory and faculty development newsletters for college faculty. He subscribes to the understanding that professional development as practice transformation involves more than changes in methods, strategies and techniques. Practice transformation is also personal development. It also calls for shifts in personal beliefs, values and attitudes in order to lead to meaningful and enduring improvements in what we do as educators and the quality of the outcomes we seek to achieve.
