2019 End-of-Year Celebration
Thank you to the over 60 faculty members and staff that joined us for the 2019 End-of-Year Celebration. In 2018-2019 the Center held over 100 workshops in teaching, research, and service with over 1,500 attendees and more sessions are planned in May and June. At the celebration we recognized the accomplishment of faculty who participated in Center activities over the year.

We also heard from people who participated in the many faculty learning communities - Teaching Online, Women in STEM/SBS, Writing Groups, Teaching Academy and others - as well as the Early Career Mentoring Program (Jody Bartz spoke - pictured on the right).
Lastly, we recognized the work and dedication of Professor Marilyn Lockhart as she leaves the Director position at the Center to transition to the Education
Department. Marilyn’s leadership, both as Center director and co-chair of the MSU’s Classroom Committee,
advanced the design, use, and assessment of innovative teaching environments – including
active learning classrooms, for which MSU received the 2014 Award for Innovation in
Educational Technologies from the NorthWest Academic Computing Consortium. Last fall,
she brought the Center’s effectiveness into the spotlight at MSU’s inaugural Faculty
Symposium, and was recognized as one of the 125 Extraordinary Ordinary Women in the
history of MSU. We are grateful for her vision, devotion, and many significant accomplishments.
