Meet Kara Lapp
Kara is a first-generation college graduate with a B.A. in English Literature, an M.A. in English, and is a second-year Ph.D. student. She is excited to teach a cohort of GEAR UP and TRIO students this fall! She understands some of the challenges of being the first person in a family to attend college. From a low-income, blue-collar background, she is also familiar with students with disabilities, both in the classroom and at home. Kara looks forward to working with GEAR UP and TRIO and setting students up for a successful writing experience at Montana State University.
